A few minutes of preparation protects your data and makes the pickup quicker.
The checklist - Back up photos, chats and contacts to the cloud or a computer. - Sign out of your Google account (Android) or turn off Find My and sign out of your Apple ID (iPhone). A phone that is still locked to your account cannot be resold. - Unpair smartwatches and earbuds. - Remove your SIM and memory card. - Factory reset the phone. - Keep ready the charger, box and bill if you have them, plus a government photo ID for the agent.
