How to find your phone's IMEI number
2 Nov 2026
Every phone has a 15-digit IMEI number that identifies it on mobile networks. You need it when you sell a phone, claim insurance or report a lost device.
1. Dial a code Open the phone app and dial \*#06#. The IMEI shows on screen. Dual-SIM phones show two.
2. Look in Settings - Android: Settings → About phone → Status (the exact path varies by brand). - iPhone: Settings → General → About, then scroll down.
3. Check the box or bill The IMEI is printed on the sticker on the original box and usually on the purchase bill. When you sell to us, a box whose IMEI matches the phone helps.
